Why Developer Mode Enabling Fails on FydeOS

If youโ€™re experiencing issues with enabling Developer Mode on FydeOS, there are a few key things to check:

UEFI Support

To enable Developer Mode, your device must support UEFI (Unified Extensible Firmware Interface). If your device does not support UEFI, enabling Developer Mode will not be possible. A common symptom of this issue is that after clicking the โ€œEnable Developer Modeโ€ button and rebooting, the mode does not enable.

Ventoy and Other Boot Methods

Using boot methods such as Ventoy to launch FydeOS can also interfere with enabling Developer Mode. To avoid this issue, it is recommended to install FydeOS directly onto your hard drive for proper functionality.

FydeOS for VMWare issues

FydeOS for VMWare is only intended for preview purposes. If you encounter issues related to Developer Mode while using VMWare, make sure to install FydeOS onto your hard drive for a better experience and to resolve enabling problems.
