How to Solve Common Installation Issues:
Switch from MBR to GPT: FydeOS necessitates your disk being formatted to GPT. Utilise tools in accordance with Microsoft’s guidelines or opt for DiskGenius.
Disable Software Write Protection: For multi-boot configurations, confirm the absence of software write protections, such as Windows BitLocker, on the target disk. Ensure BitLocker is completely disabled prior to proceeding.
Switch to UEFI Boot Mode: FydeOS requires UEFI boot mode. Change your device’s boot mode to UEFI in the BIOS settings.
Address EFI Partition Write Protection: Should EFI-related errors arise, adjust the BIOS settings concerning CSM mode, boot sequence lock, and secure boot. Additionally, ensure the “Configure rEFInd” option is deactivated before initiating the installation.
Inspect Your USB Drive: Installation impediments or erratic errors may suggest problems with your installation medium or target drive. Opting for a new USB drive or disk is advisable.
Choose a High-Speed USB Drive: Opting for a high-speed USB drive can significantly enhance the installation experience.
