Android Subsystem Loading Issues
Why Does the Android Subsystem Keep Loading During Startup?
When launching the Android subsystem, some users may notice that the startup process remains stuck in a continuous spinning state. This issue can arise from a couple of key reasons.
Incompatible Processor Architecture
The Android subsystem requires a processor that supports the SSE4.2 instruction set. If your deviceโs processor is too old and lacks SSE4.2 support, the subsystem will not be able to initialize properly. This hardware incompatibility leads to the persistent spinning during startup, preventing the subsystem from launching as expected.
Discrete GPU Conflict
Another common cause is the presence of a discrete graphics card, such as those from AMD or NVIDIA. In some cases, having a discrete GPU can interfere with the proper initialization of the Android subsystem. If your device is equipped with a discrete GPU, it may cause the subsystem to fail to start.
For users experiencing this issue, it is recommended to disable the discrete GPU. Please refer to the following article for detailed instructions on how to disable your discrete GPU.
By addressing these two primary issues, users can often resolve the spinning startup problem and successfully launch the Android subsystem. If the issue persists after taking these steps, further investigation or additional support may be required.
