FAQs

What is the account and password used to log in to the command line?

With FydeOS for PC, you can use the username chronos to log in to the system’s command line (shell) environment. The account is passwordless by default. In addition, you can use the sudo command gain root privilege.

Note: from FydeOS v17 and openFyde r114 onwards, `sudo su` will no longer work. Please use `sudo -i` instead. Older versions will not be impacted.

For security reasons, we recommend that you change the password as soon as possible.

For how to change the shell access password of FydeOS, please refer to this knowledge base document.
