If you installed FydeOS alongside Windows or another operating system on the same hard drive, you might notice that your PC becomes unusually hot for a period after booting up FydeOS. This can affect performance and battery life. The likely cause is a daemon process within the Android subsystem that automatically scans and indexes all media files across your other partitions.

If you find this behavior bothersome, you can disable it in the “FydeOS Settings”. Simply turn on the option “Disable automatic media file scanning for all partitions to optimize battery life.”
