Add apps and extensions

To give FydeOS more features and functionality, you can add Chrome apps or extensions.

Note: You can’t add Chrome apps or extensions if:

• You’re browsing as a guest
• You’re using your FydeOS device at work or school. If you have questions or need help, contact your administrator.

Add an Chrome app or extension

1. Open the FydeOS Web Store.
2. Browse or search for what you’d like to add.
3. When you find an app or extension you’d like to add, click Add to FydeOS.

You’ll see your Chrome apps in your launcher, and your extensions in Chromium as buttons on the toolbar.

How Chrome apps and extensions work

Apps and extensions work like regular programs for desktop computers, but they run entirely in the Chromium browser. You don’t need to install software or restart your computer.

Manage apps and extensions

• Sync your apps and extensions so you’ll see them anywhere you sign in to FydeOS.
• Pin apps to your shelf for easy access.
• Manage your extension settings: In Chromium, click **More ** > More tools > Extensions.
• Uninstall an app or extension.
