FydeOS v22.1 includes a collection of fixes and improvements across hardware compatibility, FydeOS AI, FydeRhythm IME, FydeSign, Feedback, and system-level components.
Hardware Compatibility
- Fixed the Wi-Fi driver issue on devices powered by Intel N100 processors, improving wireless network availability and connection stability.
- Fixed an issue where the camera was unavailable in some applications on Surface Pro 4 / 5 / 6.
- Fixed an issue where USB cameras could not be used on Raspberry Pi 5, improving external camera compatibility on affected devices.
- Fixed boot failure issues on Orange Pi 5/5B in certain scenarios.
FydeOS AI
- Fixed an issue where the onboarding window could appear repeatedly, and added support for more file formats.
FydeRhythm IME
- Added scheme management, and the IME tray menu now shows the list of installed schemes for easier viewing and switching.
FydeSign
- Updated the method used to obtain the screen ID, improving identification stability in related scenarios.
Feedback
- Improved the email address submission flow in Feedback to make follow-up communication easier.
Other Fixes and Adjustments
- Fixed the location lookup feature based on IP address.
- In a dual-boot setup, internal disk partitions can be mounted and unmounted manually.
- Synced security patches of upstream Linux kernel, fixing the Dirty Frag local privilege escalation flaw.
