1. Our Commitment to User Privacy
We fully understand the importance of user privacy and sincerely assure you that we have absolutely no interest in stealing sensitive information such as the text you input. Actions that infringe upon privacy go against the original intention of our development of fydeRhythm IME. Rest assured; we will always defend your privacy rights and adopt a rigorous attitude to ensure the security of your personal information.
2. fydeRhythm IME is Open-Source Software
fydeRhythm IME is developed based on the open-source RIME engine, and its release fully complies with open-source principles. We warmly welcome users with doubts to inspect or review the source code of fydeRhythm IME in our GitHub repository. At the same time, we look forward to technology enthusiasts and developers joining us to jointly improve this product.
3. Data Collection
3.1.
With your consent, we will collect some non-private statistical data through Google Analytics to understand the scale and usage of fydeRhythm IME users, so as to optimize the product experience. If you do not want this data to be collected, you can go to the fydeRhythm IME settings page and turn off the “Help us improve the fydeRhythm IME user experience” option. We guarantee that the collected content does NOT include sensitive privacy data (such as input text and phrases) or identifiers associated with specific users.
Here is a list of specific data collected:
- Device model and operating system version
- Version information of the input method program
- Input schemes used and their frequency
- Error reports and program crash information
3.2.
If you use a FydeOS account to sign in to a FydeOS device and use fydeRhythm IME, we will subsequently provide a service to synchronize your personal dictionary and input preference settings through your FydeOS account. When you enable and use this service, we will collect the data you need to sync based on the FydeOS account privacy statement and data collection. This data includes:
- Selected input schemes, the number of candidate words per page, phonetic options, and other settings
- Input phrases and word frequency data (but not coherent input content)
If you do not enable the sync feature, we will not collect this data.
3.3.
If you are a user of ChromeOS / Chromium OS / openFyde or other derivative operating systems and obtain the fydeRhythm IME through any of the following methods:
- Install fydeRhythm IME from the Chrome Web Store
- Download the fydeRhythm IME installation package yourself
- Compile the fydeRhythm IME source code to obtain the installation package
We will not be able to provide the sync-related features of fydeRhythm IME on the FydeOS platform, so we will NOT collect any preference data generated by your use of fydeRhythm IME.
