About EOL
Last updated: 10 July 2024
What does it mean?
EOL (End-of-life) means your device will stop receiving FydeOS updates. These updates include:
- Security updates, bug fixes and new features for FydeOS devices. Some existing features may stop working.
- Support for certain apps and extensions that require specific FydeOS or browser versions.
If you get a “Final software update” notification, your device will stop receiving FydeOS and browser updates. After EOL, you can continue to use FydeOS but it will no longer receive security updates. We encourage you to switch to a new device that is still under support.
